BLLC Series
for industrial applications
Integrating quality materials with efficient production methods, BLLC motors are designed to provide cost-effective solutions for a broad array of industrial applications where the emphasis is on long operating life and performance, but where the operating specifications do not dictate the need for very high performance motors. BLLC series brushless motors have been used in medical applications, factory automation, semiconductor cooling, focusing mechanisms, and many other applications.
BVLC Series
for commercial applications
The BVLC series of brushless DC Motors is intended for less stringent commercial applications where the emphasis is on high volume production at low unit cost. Such applications where BVLC series brushless motors have been used are actuators, centrifuges, compressors, fluid pumps, as well as many other applications. Integrated motors and drives are available.
BLCM Series
for medical applications
BLCM series brushless motors are designed for medical applications. These brushless motors have high operating efficiency, extremely high torque and power densities, and high torque to inertia ratios. BLCM motors are designed to withstand autoclave cleaning and sterilization under high steam pressure and temperature conditions. Applications where BLCM motors are used include centrifuges, surgical tools, respirators, and organ transport pump systems.
LAT Series
for limited angle torque applications
The LAT series of brushless DC motors is intended for actuator applications requiring a limited range of rotational movement. Design features include high torque to inertia ratios and high power densities. LAT motors provide a solution where there is a need for high torque and limited rotational movement within an angular range of +/- 30 or +/- 45 degrees.
BWM Series
for integrated assembly applications
The BWM series of integrated brushless DC motors is primarily intended for two applications: The first is where the drive system is to be integrated into the motor housing, to conserve on space and installation expense. The second is where a motor-drive system is to be integrated with a commercially available blower assembly for an air movement application.
BDC Series
Brush DC Motors
BDC motors provide a solution wherever there is a distinct preference for the characteristics of a brush DC motor design - such as inherent control simplicity. Design features include an adherence to military standards, making them suitable for use in both aerospace and military applications.
INM Series
high frequency AC induction motors
The INM Series of high frequency AC induction motors is intended for aircraft applications utilizing 400 Hz power sources. Design features include both high efficiencies and high power densities to conserve weight. They are designed in accord with military standards, making them suitable for use on both commercial and military aircraft.
Conventional Brushless DC Motor Drives
Conventional brushless DC motor drive systems are intended for basic motor control applications where there is a need for speed and direction control. Design features include compact size and the use of rugged components for enhanced reliability. These drive systems can be mounted in remote locations and on certain motors, depending upon the motor selection.
DSP Controllers
DSP controlled drive systems are intended for more sophisticated motor control applications. They are suitable for both AC induction and brushless DC motors. Design features include cutting edge DSP technology, a customer friendly graphical user interface, ease of configuration, and application flexibility. These drive systems can be mounted in remote locations and on certain motors, depending upon the motor selection.
Custom Winding Assemblies
Stators, Rotors, Coils
Custom (build to print) winding assemblies are available. Electrical manufacturers are encouraged to subcontract the production of their stators, rotors, and coils to SL-MTI. With a broad array of manufacturing processes, a wide variety of design configurations can be accommodated. With a staff of experienced engineering, quality control, and production personnel, conformance to customers' engineering specifications is assured.
